As a starting point, you will need approx. 2-3 hours a month to participate in the program. You and your mentee adjust the course according to each other’s needs and ongoing agreements. We make it easy for you to find your own best match online. We recommend that the first meeting take place in a library, cultural center, cafe or similar setting, so that you begin on neutral ground.
We advise and guide you along the way. We are trained to troubleshoot. An important part of our role as coordinators is to help you deal with unforeseen situations in the mentorship and ensure a smooth mentoring experience.
WHAT WE OFFER YOU
We offer you access to KVINFO’s online portal where you search for a mentee and request the match. The use of the portal allows for mentor-matching to be simple and direct. There are no third parties involved in the process! It is as easy as using Facebook or any other application on your desktop or mobile phone.
Once you’ve been matched with a mentee, we follow the mentor process and provide you with the guidance and tools you’ll need to move forward. Not all challenges are suitable for a mentorship. If a mentee has requested your support for legal, medical or psychological problems, contact KVINFO immediately. We have knowledge of networks and resources, such as counseling or legal assistance, to provide to mentees upon request.
